Riots Disrupt Venezuela’s Biggest Oil Field Auction In Years

Hugo Chavez may have ruined his country beyond the point of peaceful repair.
In a reversal of eleven years in office, the Marxist president is today holding an auction for drilling rights to the valuable Carabobo oil field. The foreign oil companies invited to the auction are the same ones that he recently kicked out, while nationalizing all oil activity in Venezuela.
